FAQ
Will the PNG be higher quality than the JPG?
No. The quality is the same as the JPG; PNG just preserves whatever you have without compressing further. Information already lost in the JPG cannot be recovered.
Why is the PNG file so much bigger?
PNG is lossless. A 200KB JPG photo often becomes 1-3MB as PNG. For photos, JPG is more efficient. PNG shines for graphics with sharp edges or transparency.
Will my JPG be uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion runs in your browser. The JPG never leaves your device.
Can I make the PNG transparent?
The JPG has no transparency information, so the PNG will be fully opaque. To add transparency, edit the PNG in an image editor afterwards.
Is there a batch option?
